THE LINK BETWEEN ILLEGAL SEWER DISCHARGE OF CONSTRUCTION WASTE AND POLLUTION OF WATERWAYS

26/10/2017

Most jurisdictions prohibit discharge of construction liquid waste to sewer, and one or more 44 gallon drums do not offer pre-treratment that is acceptable to any regulator. The practice is illegal in most cases.

During storm events when sewer overflows are used to protect the sewer system, raw water from the sewer ends up in our creeks and rivers as identified in the attached article.

Its time the construction industry stops illegal discharge of construction waste to the community sewers!
